Job Description
Be responsible for the supply of materials from the workshops to various
maintenance/contract works in all Aberdeen City Council’s housing and non-housing stock.
Supervise a multi skilled work force
Participate in investigations when concerns or complaints have been raised about standards of service or work.
Liaise with other Council Officers to ensure complaints raised about standards of service or repairs have been appropriately investigated and responded to.
Liaise and attend various meetings, as required, with contractors, specialist firms, Council Services, other local authority bodies, private consultants etc
Update, develop and where necessary, procedures for monitoring and review in conjunction with other members of staff. Working with all main building trades.
A knowledge of social housing stock and the construction methods used in building them.
A good knowledge of building regulations.
Good knowledge of the regulations relating to asbestos.
Understanding of current Health and Safety issues and all current legislation and statutory procedures.
Knowledge of IT packages, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Word etc.
Essential
Be knowledgeable in current regulations.
Awareness of current health and safety legislation.
Risk assessments and method statements.
Driving License PVG Required

We are looking for support with a Project in Glen Mor, Invergarry for two Approved Electricians
The pay rate is £21.19ph PAY. We also pay rolled up holiday pay alongside your wages every week. The work is for a preliminary 2 months and the shift pattern is 11 days on, 3 days off. Looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Hours and overtime rates are paid as below:
” 37.5 hours standard (7.5 hours per day) (Currently 10 hours per day are being worked Monday to Friday – and 8 hours on a Saturday and Sunday)
” Once 37.5 hours are completed the daily overtime past 7.5 hours is paid at time x1.5
” Saturdays are paid the first 6 hours at x.1.5, double time after that.

The work being carried out is installing a large site setup with sleeper units and modular buildings.
