Project Description
The Box Encapsulation Plant project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield’s 100-year clean-up programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the sites original wasteplants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The plant is primarily designed to deal with waste from the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd’s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Alongside that work, the plant will also receive certain wastes from the other three legacy waste stores, the First Generation Magnox Storage Pond, the Pile Fuel Storage Pond, and Pile Fuel Cladding Silo.
The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).
Job Description

Site Manager, London, Contract, 3 – 6 Months
A site manager for a Principal Contractor Site Manager (PCSM) role is needed for a substation extension project in Ashford, about 4 kilometers south of Heathrow. This substation is considered critical for the country and for Heathrow. The work is currently in the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase, with the works including surveying, and later, the main works.
Key details about the project and role:
o Location: Ashford.
o Works: The project involves a live substation where there will be 4SGT replacement, a lot of CV war cabling, and upgrading the substation. A building with Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) will be built later, in about 18 months. The site manager will likely not be involved in the construction of the building but their knowledge may be required during the development of the design. Site activities, such as investigation works and other works in the substation, are ongoing.
o Urgency: The role is needed as soon as possible.
o Duration: The role might be needed up to March for sure, and possibly to June.
o Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. This is a 45-hour week. The rate of £60 per hour, but we will not to restrict candidates based on the rate as it is negotiable.
o IR35: Inside
A major concern is the requirement for specific certificates. The certificates needed are:
o National Grid Safety Instructions (NSI) 6 and 8 Competent Person (in date).
o Temporary Works Coordinator certificates.
o CAT 1, CAT 2 with Substation High Voltage (HV) module for utility excavation.
o Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
o Safety, Health, and Environmental Test (SHEA).
The selected candidate will also need to undergo an assessment by the client, which includes a small exam called SR37. This exam is based on the National Grid Supplier Requirement 137. If a candidate has experience as a site manager on a National Grid job site, has NSI 6 and 8, and has conducted SR 163 meetings should not have trouble passing the internal exam.

Counterbalance Forklift Drivers – Long Term Work – Constant Days – Potential for Full Time.

Based in Blackford, Perthshire, our client currently has long term opportunities for experienced Forklift Drivers in the warehouse of their manufacturing facility near Auchterarder.
You should:
– Have experience driving a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
– Be serious about securing a long-term role
– Keen to be part of a successful team
– Take pride in your work & always put safety first
– You must have a valid counterbalance license and some relvant experience
The role:
– 12hr Dayshift – 4 on 4 off. (We also have Nightshift available)
– Own transport is not essential, but desirable due to location and start times
– Pay rate – £14.42ph PAYE + Rolled up holiday pay + pension + excellent overtime rates
This is a PAYE contract, where contributions are made towards your pension as per current legislation and you receive your holiday pay rolled up in your wages each week.

Job Description
We are currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Ganger (SSSTS) with Dumper / Roller for a Project near Perth.
This is a Civil Engineering / Water project for a well known client.
The project will run for over a year period so there is plenty scope for follow on work on both this and other similar jobs across Scotland.
Ganger / ground worker will need to have SSSTS or SVQ, First Aid and experience on Civils Projects / directing digging operations etc. You will need groundworks experience plus CPCS or NPORs (with CSCS logo) Dumper and / or Roller qualifications.
The successful candidates will have a proven track record doing similar works on the same type of project.
Rates of pay (PAYE) are £21.50ph basic with a minimum 5 hours OT every week at £32.25ph.
We also pay rolled up holiday pay alongside your wages every week, which is a further £2.91 (basic hours) and £4.37 (OT) per hour.
Standard hours:
Mon – Thurs: 0730-1700
Friday: 0730-1500
