Hours of work:
6:30 – 15:00 Monday – Thursday
06:00 -2:30 on a Friday.
Details of job requirements
Operate production-line machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
Prepare and handle bacon products for processing, packing, and dispatch.
Carry out manual weigh-off, accurately weighing products to meet the required specification and pack weight.
Check product quality, including weight, appearance, temperature, labelling, and presentation.
Place bacon products correctly onto the production/packing line and maintain the required production speed.
Work within the fast paced, following hygiene, food-safety, PPE, and contamination-control procedures.
Keep the workstation and equipment clean and tidy throughout the shift.
Identify and remove products that do not meet quality or weight specifications.
Complete production, weight, quality, and traceability records accurately.
Report machinery faults, product issues, shortages, or safety concerns to the line leader/supervisor.
Follow HACCP, health & safety, manual-handling, and company food-safety procedures.
Work effectively as part of a team to achieve production targets while maintaining product quality and safety.

Steel Erector/Supervisor/Chargehand
Job Description
Job description – Steel Erector/Chargehand
Rate £17/£21 PH, but there is some movement for the right candidate.
Overtime also availble to anyone wanting more hours
Off-loading and erecting structural steelwork and occasionally cladding on construction sites across Scotland.
Working to technical drawings, bolt lists, Risk and Method Statements.
Insuring that all bolts are correctly installed and fully tightened.
Working with mobile cranes, tele-handlers, Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs), alloy towers and other plant and machinery as required.
Using hand and power tools for drilling, cutting, shaping, burning and bolt fastening.
Keeping equipment in good working order – daily inspecting of all plant and equipment and reporting any defects to company management.
Manual handling work and mechanical lifting with chain blocks and genie lifts.
Complying and co-operating with all site-specific Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
Occasional workshop duties such as drilling holes, painting steel, tidying bolts, sweeping up.
Any other duties as required
Additional duties – Steel Erector Supervisor / Charge-hand
Reporting to main contractor upon site arrival and ensuring that all steel erectors are inducted before commencing work on site.
Liaising with main contractor to co-ordinate site safety and programming of work.
Setting up safe work areas and ensuring that other operatives do not encroach within the steel work area.
Setting up and supervising mobile cranes.
Directing and supervising steel erectors.
Ensuring that RAMS and work sequences are followed and immediately notifying company management of any problems or incidents that arise.
Keeping the work area tidy and clearing away any waste (timber, pallets, bolt bags, banding, ropes, etc)
Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.30pm
Friday – 8am to 1pm
Hours can be flexible for the right candidate

Purpose
To lead and control package(s) of works based on specific experience. Management of a team of engineers (Section Engineer and below) and supply chain partner associated with the specific discipline.

Quality
” Ownership of whole process of production, checking and submission of Handover Documentation (Completion Files or equivalent as required by the project)
” Implements systems and processes to support construction of the works in accordance with the specification (e.g. ITP’s, Materials Approval, NCR, Handover Documentation)
” Carries out trend analysis of the above and identifies improvement areas for non-conformance and business improvement
” Carries out Independent Inspections of their own section and of others
” Carries out Site Audits to check works and documentation compliance
” Coaches less experienced staff
” Liaise with designer and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues

” Produces a fully resourced stage programmer in the accepted format / software
” Tracks and monitors KPI compliance and recommends improvements to systems to maintain team production
