We have a great opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Contracts Manager to join a growing and progressive company with a varied portfolio of projects, covering predominantly the industrial and renewable sectors. This role is based out of Kirkcaldy, Fife.

We are looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee and manage all site-based operations. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed to the required standards, time and cost. You will also be liaising with clients and site staff to ensure that requirements are clearly understood, and agreements are fully delivered. You should have a demonstrable background working as an Electrical Contracts Manager and ideally hold previous industrial experience. Role Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Project Lead and Planning Manager, to be responsible for implementing the requirements of the project planning procedures, ensuring compliance with the business management system.
To establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers, project team and delivery partners.

As a Project Planner you will be:
Ensuring that the programme content is functionally compliant with the planning procedures and guidance
Identifying planning scope, major constraints and contract requirements
Identifying major quantities and factors affecting the programme
Establishing and agreeing construction norms and applying to schedule activities
Establishing and agreeing key methods of construction, sequencing, installation and commissioning and reflecting within the schedule logic
Producing and documenting the planning deliverables including programmes, planning philosophy, presentations and reports
Developing and maintaining the overall programme, issue to all parties for review and implement recommendations, innovation and best practice as applicable
Reconciling company and sub-contract plant/labour and major materials elements in conjunction where appropriate Applying resource levelling techniques as necessary – Interfacing with third parties to identify and resolve issues
Analysing schedule performance and producing detailed periodic reports for client submission and implementing change where applicable
Analysing and Evaluating Integrated schedule movement, working alongside other delivery partners to produce a cohesive narrative

Personal Qualities and Experience:
3-5 years of hands-on experience in construction planning is essential – the role requires someone to take ownership of the project, tackle challenges independently, and make decisions confidently without needing close guidance
Substantial experience of planning services within large complex environments within the construction and engineering industry
Good experience in the use of planning techniques and the required planning toolsets
Good understanding of various forms of contract documents and specifications
Good understanding of various methods of planning, programming and progress monitoring
Good understanding of risk and opportunity management with particular reference to planning/programming
Good understanding of the events that initiate, and of the methods used to demonstrate, delay or change entitlement
Good understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment and labour requirements
Relevant CSCS Card

This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of complex and high-value projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cost management, contract administration, and commercial strategy, with a proven ability to lead and influence at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities
Provide pre and post commercial advice/ support to the operational teams
Support the operational teams in providing a customer focused service and attaining the highest standards of operational delivery to maximise projects profitability and minimise risk
Support the projects by providing advice and feedback in the promotion of best commercial practice throughout the company
Ensure completion of contract documentation and undertake contract reviews and negotiations to align with governance requirements
Ensure all bonds, warranties and company guarantees are agreed in accordance with commercial and group procedures
Manage and monitor the contract terms and conditions along with contractual obligations
Take a leading role in resolution of contractual disputes
Liaise with our insurance broker to ensure all commercial matters are properly handled
Ensure the correct insurance requirements are installed in the contracts
Support the bidding process commercially
Where new opportunities are identified to ensure each tender has the appropriate level of review and tender risk assessment
Protect stakeholder interests through full use of the company governance framework during the tendering gateways
Represent the commercial function at tender reviews
Ensure that subcontract orders are professional, accurate, comprehensive and issued prior to commencement on site
Provide advice and support to the operational team such that subcontracts reflect the contract specific requirements in addition to the company standard terms
Review and interrogate Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs)
Be influential in the maximisation of profit margins
Liaise with operational and finance staff to ensure that work in progress and debt levels are not allowed to build up in the business undetected
Ensure that all customer variations are maximised, documented, priced and agreed at the earliest opportunity
Manage, source or produce final accounts and any necessary claims
Work effectively with the project teams in the identification of cost overspend to maximise profit
Work with the operational leads for the formulation of monthly forecasts and budget reporting
Support, mentor and develop the operational team and undertake commercial training as and when required
Promote and instil good commercial principles across the business

Our client is a leading provider of critical engineering services.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an Electrical Project Manager to join the infrastructure team based out of offices in Uddingston.

The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of electrical projects up to £10M throughout the central belt of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure all works are managed in accordance with standard operating procedures and Health and Safety regulations.
Ensure all works are competed in line with the contract specification and drawings.
Prepare labour plans and update labour trackers with correct information
Review, verify, appoint, and manage specialist contractors in line with the contract documentation.
Attend regular approval meeting with Client interface.
Work with wider MEP team and site supervisors to ensure the works are on target and to update programs and weekly project reports for the client & sub-contractors.
Manage work from initial co-ordination to completion and final sign off after EoYD.
Ensure all RAMS are suitable and sufficient for all work scopes.
Ensure technical and quality compliance throughout the project.
Work closely with the commercial team to keep track of all budgets and feed into the month end reports.
Co-ordinate the procurement and resource planning within the requirements of the contract needs
Ensure appropriate record keeping in maintained and available for review by all.
Take responsibility for the successful project completion and formal handover in accordance with defined requirements outlined by the client or nominated client representatives.
Produce working programs and to amend an issue with weekly reports and including % completed against each task.

Skills and experiences
Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or similar role.
Ability to plan and organise their work effectively to meet changing environments and needs
Proven track record to the successful delivery of electrical and mechanical services related projects
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices
Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing basis
IT skills required with specific reference to the Microsoft suite of packages
To be able to use Microsoft Project or ASTA to a basic standard as a minimum.

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
Hold an electrical qualification to as an Electrician as a minimum.
